[EN] The Department Advisory Board meeting was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Topan, Dr. Aycan Murat Marangoz, Dr. Hüseyin Kemaldere, Dr. İlke Deniz, Lecturer Murat Oruç, MSc Serkan Sargınoğlu (Turkish Coal Corporation) and MSc Fatih Aliyazıcıoğlu (Bursa Metropolitan Municipality). During the meeting, information was provided regarding the positive impact of the increasing number of students on the Department’s educational activities, the current status of our research and development work, and our MÜDEK and accreditation efforts. It was noted that the alumni meeting could not be held due to various reasons, and it is now scheduled for the coming term. Serkan Sargınoğlu also highlighted that our alumni have high expectations regarding this matter. Furthermore, expectations were expressed regarding our students becoming more active within the Geomatics Student Society and organising events; it was emphasised that support for this could be provided from our Department and our stakeholders. The meeting concluded with good wishes.
